Max Madness Cornhole Tournament, BBQ + Beer

For the past three summers seven year old Max Sedmihradsky and his father, UTM staff member Andrew Sedmihradsky have ridden their cargobike 600 km between Hamilton and Ottawa to raise money for a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. This yearly ride is called Max's Big Ride.

Please help welcome Max and his team to UTM on the first day of this year's ride to Ottawa with a fun event at 12:00 pm on June 11 at Colman Commons.

There will be a BBQ, an opportunity to taste Max's Big Beer (thanks to awesome Hamilton brewery Grain & Grit!) and a chance to play in the inaugural Max Madness Cornhole Tournament to crown the first ever UTM Cornhole Champions.

Not sure what cornhole is? It's a bean bag toss game where players take turns throwing bags at a raised platform with a hole in the far end for points. It is easy - and almost anyone can play. Still not sure? Here's a short YouTube video that goes over the basics.

We are looking for as many teams of two as we can get to participate and join in the fun, so find a friend, classmate or colleague and sign up below!
