About Max's Big Ride

On Father's Day, June 21st, 2015, four year old Max Sedmihradsky and his father Andrew undertook a 600 km cargo bike ride from Ottawa to Hamilton along the Trans Canada Trail to raise money for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) via the charity Jesse's Journey.

They raised $55,000 towards a cure, gained significant media attention, and met countless kind and amazing people along the way. In fact, they had such a good time that they plan to repeat Max's Big Ride next year.

Thanks to everyone who made their ride possible and please stay tuned for 2016......

Indie88 gave listeners a chance to win three gigantic billboards in Toronto. The design could be anything they wanted, and would be seen by over 4 million people. Listeners voted, and all the contestants gathered to find out who the big winner would be...

On June 24th Max's Big Ride pulled into Tweed, Ontario - where we received a welcome we'll never forget. Thanks to everyone involved who made this day so special for our family.

Along with all of her responsibilities as a support driver, Max's mother Kerri documented the ride through her blog and haikus. Relive the journey using the links below....
