Please follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter social media accounts. If you like what you see, please like and share with a message about us to your friends. Chances are you know someone who is affected by a rare disease, so please sign our petition and share with a message to your friends letting them know why it’s important to you.

Ride with us on Zwift 🚴🏻‍♂️

We’ll be using the virtual cycling app Zwift and a stationary trainer to ride the 600 km. Each day from June 1-7 we’ll be hosting a ‘Meetup’ on Zwift where we can all ride together for part of a ride, the entire day or all seven! Our rides are casual in nature and all ages and abilities are welcome. We’ll be enabling the ‘Keep Everyone Together’ feature so all riders will stick together, regardless of ability. If you want to ride with us please do the following;

  1. Add ‘_Max’s Big Ride’ - please don’t forget the underscore - on Zwift.

  2. Shoot us an email at andrew@maxsbigride.com with the day you want to ride and we’ll invite you to join our Meetup.

  3. Share your plans to ride on social media with a link to our donation page so you can collect donations from family and friends. Remember that 100% of donations will go to support research into a cure and that no donation is too big or too small. https://donate.utoronto.ca/max

  4. Make sure you join the Meetup before the start time - Zwift does not allow latecomers.

Ride Schedule (exact start times pending)

Monday, June 1 - Friday, June 5 - we’ll ride 80 km each day starting at 4:00 pm Toronto time each day.

Saturday, June 6 - Sunday, June 7 - we’ll ride a ‘metric century’ - 100 km each day starting at 3:00 pm Toronto time each day.

Ride From Home 🚴🏻‍♂️

Don’t have a Zwift compatible bicycle trainer? Don’t worry - neither did we before COVID-19! You can log some kms in support of Max’s Big Ride At Home however works for you. Ride a stationary bike in your basement for an hour, or go for a physically distant ride in your neighbourhood and share your effort on social media with a link to our donation page so you can collect donations from family and friends. We’ve loved seeing all the rainbows, pictures and messages of support popping up in front windows in our neighbourhood. Print off, colour and hang the Max’s Big Ride At Home colouring page in your window to show your support of our fight against Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
