Race Information - May 2016
Challenge yourself on iconic Sydenham Hill in Dundas, Ontario!
Sydenham Hill has been ridden over 12,000 times on Strava and made famous by Canadian Olympian Clara Hughes. Now, for the first time, you can race this stretch of road for a good cause - to raise money for research into a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
On Saturday, July 23rd, riders will race up the 1 km course to determine the winner of their age and gender category, and to decide the 'King' and 'Queen of the Mountain'.
There are two ways to win!
Riders will first race the hill individually against the clock. All riders will be professionally timed and ranked according to their gender and age groups. These categories will be further broken down into licensed OCA racers and non-licensed riders. The fastest rider in each category will be recognized. Each rider will ride the hill twice - your fastest time will be used to rank you.
Age Categories for Men + Women
14 - 15
16 - 19
20 - 29
30 - 39
40 - 49

King + Queen of the Mountain
The fastest four men and women overall will be seeded for the head-to-head Knockout Stages. In the Knockout Stages, winners will advance and race again to determine a 'King' and 'Queen of the Mountain'.
Join us for an after party at Shawn & Ed Brewing Co. to sample a craft beer or two, and to be present for the draw of Max's Big Raffle where winners score a dinner at Quatrefoil or Brux House!
We'd love to see you on Sydenham in what is sure to be an exciting event - and also a fundraiser to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go to fund research through the established charity Jesse's Journey.
All results will be available online during and after the event.
